Mom's safe arrival home

Just a quick note to let you know that Mom arrived home on Friday night and is glad to be home even though it is hot here. We had a great day of services on Sunday. Mom went to a ladies rally on Sunday night. The lady speaking was good but the music was a little over the edge for Mom but I think she enjoyed it. A week full of Dr. Appointments for Mom this week. That is one of the reasons why she came home. The other reason was she couldn't live without me :)

Since I changed the title of my blog. I figured I should put that in practice. Visitation on Monday night. Short visit at the door with a middle aged lady. Two interesting comments - her response to "In your opinion, what does it take to get to heaven?" - being a good person. People are very open here in Florida. The second interesting comment was regarding Sunday School. We gave her some literature about the church with Sunday School class schedules. She said "I don't have any small children, my youngest is 26". The misconception that SS is only for kids.

Why aren't more people being saved? We aren't sharing enough. I'm as guilty as anyone of this.

We didn't get a chance to share the Gospel with this lady but did leave a tract in the material that we left and hopefully left a favorable impression of the church and Christians.

Grandma & Grandpa Paris' Trip North

Grandma & Grandpa Paris are planning on leaving Florida Monday 5/15 in afternoon and arriving in NY on Wednesday afternoon 5/17. Aunt Connie has cleaned up some stuff and turned on the heat.

Thad - If you're still interested in helping, I talked to Aunt Connie today and she thought maybe by Friday 5/19 they may be ready for some assistance. She thought they might need Thursday as a rest day. Let me know if you are going to do that.

Pray for Grandma & Grandpa driving. I offered to go with them to help but they wanted to do it themselves.

Good Times in Kansas City

I'm writing this morning to stay awake. I have been working 1st shift the last two days and it is finally catching up with me with only 2-3 hours sleep a day.

Eat, sleep, and work. I have no life so I guess I can't post any insightfull thoughts.
